Hans-Jürgen Müller: “Agricultural goods and competitive industrial goods produced and delivered especially for the German industry will benefit both economies.”

In a series of interviews, exporter.bg - Bulgaria's export site, will present the activities of the Confederation of International Trading Houses Associations (CITHA) and its members - an organization founded as far back as 1956.

Since 2016, Hans Jürgen Müller has been the Honorary Chairman of CITHA. He has led the organization for almost 20 years.

Mr. Director General, would you introduce your association?

- Citha is an Europe-wide association of International Traders,working since nearly 70 years for the benefit of its member associations and companies.

What is your impression of the investment and business environment in Bulgaria? Would companies from your association invest in our country?

- The investment climate for several years has been boosted by low taxes for investing companies.Nevertheless, the shortage of labour in the industrial sector is limiting new investments while labour costs are still attractive. The agriculture sector is still open for foreign investments.

Which Bulgarian goods would be well received in Western markets, in particular in the country you represent?

- Bulgarian goods have to compete in quality and price on the wide open EU-market with imports from all over the world. Agriculture goods and competitive industrial goods produced and delivered especially for the German industry will benefit both economies. Additionally the Bulgarian tourist sector has a lot to offer.I
